Prerequisite : Russian Level 1 or equivalent / a placement test with the teacher

Overall Goals :

1. Designed for students who have basic knowledge of Russian, this course will help you develop further understanding of grammar and expand your vocabulary.
2. The primary focus of the course is an expansion of your communicative skills in Russian. Through a variety of individual and group exercises, students will be able to communicate on a wide range of everyday issues. Students learn dialogues, useful expressions, basic phrases, and general information on Russian culture.

Intended Learning Outcomes :

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

• Carry on a conversation in Russian and to communicate with written messages

Required Material:

Students may choose to purchase either a digital book or a paper book, not both.
The purchase should only be made after the first class.

• Device: PC (Windows 11) or Mac OS 13 (Ventura or newer).
  Laptops or desktops are recommended for full functionality.

  Students may be able to participate using Chromebooks or tablets, but features may be limited.

• Internet Connection: Minimum – 10 Mbps download / 2 Mbps upload.
  Recommended – 25 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload.

  Wired internet connection is preferred for stability.

• Audio & Video: Headphones or earbuds with a microphone.
  Webcam (built-in or external) is recommended.
