Spanish Conversation – Level 4 (In-person)


Prerequisite: Spanish Conversation Level 3

Overall Goals:

  1. Provide students with a better understanding of Spanish basics and how to deal effectively with familiar everyday situations, with the vocabulary, grammatical structures and language functions necessary for communicating accurately and fluently in various contexts.
  2. Develop students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through various communicative activities focusing on travel, culture and customs, and socializing.

Intended Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Record past, present and future events as well as express opinions and preferences in a positive or negative way and in an argumentative manner.
  • Feel at ease making an appointment, complaint, offer and receive advice and present excuses in Spanish.

  • Listening activities (listening for gist and for specific information)
  • Reading activities (skimming and scanning tasks)
