The conference will take place June 2 and 3, 2022.

Collaborative Dialogues: The Role of Active Learning in Today’s Educational Realities

In June 2022, SALTISE will be bringing our network together for another year of celebrating and deepening our commitment to pedagogical connections, conversations, and communities. The 11th annual conference theme invites us to reflect on the role of active learning in our current educational climate, characterized by many as fraught with a viral pandemic and systemic racism epidemic. As such, we welcome engaging proposals interested in investigating active learning as it relates to pedagogy, instructional design, and classroom engagement. This year, we are looking to focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion with possibilities to explore: emergency teaching (COVID-19), Indigenization, epistemic decolonization, anti-Black racism, feminism, queer and trans rights, disability justice, accessibility, as well as technology and student development.

We are looking forward to seeing you on June 2 & 3!
