Weekly Schedule 


To make an online or in-person appointment with a staff member or peer tutor, log into Omnivox and click on WC Online under the Student Services heading on the left near the bottom of the menu.  Appointments can also be booked by coming to the centre in 6.D2 (second floor of the library).

Academic Skills Centre Services

College students often need a little help with their studies. The role of Dawson’s Academic Skills Centre is to help students improve their learning, reading and writing skills. Students can meet with professionals and peer tutors on an individual basis or in small groups.

Helping all Dawson students achieve their goals

Our professional individualized support includes:

  • Essay-writing
  • Grammar
  • Research and documentation
  • Time management
  • Study skills and note-taking
  • Academic reading and critical thinking
  • Oral presentations
  • Exam preparation
  • English Exit Exam preparation

Our peer support includes:

  • English language tutoring
  • Tutoring for most courses

Fall hours

Monday-Thursday 8:30-6:30

Friday 8:30-4:30

Drop-In (no appointment necessary) 

Monday-Friday 11:00-3:00

Monday-Thursday 5:00-6:30
