Help us welcome Canada to Dawson!

Canada is coming to Dawson! From March 18–21, Dawson College will host the 2026 CCAA Women’s Basketball National Championship. For four exciting days during Dawson’s Spring Break, the Tony Proudfoot Gym will showcase the best women’s basketball in the country.

We recognize that this is a particularly demanding time for many. That said, we warmly invite members of the Dawson community who may have the interest and availability to consider volunteering for this national event. Even a small contribution can help us extend a welcoming Dawson spirit to our guests.

Volunteering is an opportunity to support the event, connect with colleagues and visitors from across Canada, and enjoy the games free of charge. Volunteers will also receive a commemorative volunteer shirt as a thank-you.

Managers have been asked to support anyone who would like to volunteer by being as flexible as possible, while ensuring important work priorities are maintained. Volunteer shifts are available both during and outside regular working hours, from March 15-22. Volunteers will be needed for setting up before the event, working during the event and cleaning up after the event.
