Teesri’s next production Behind the Moon runs April 3 – 19. It is a play about love and loss, freedom and faith, the meaning of brotherhood, and what it means to search for a better life.

Written by award-winning playwright Anosh Irani, the story takes place in a Mughlai restaurant in Toronto, where a late-night visit from a mysterious stranger, Jalal, rattles the cage and shatters the peace. Ayub, the restaurant’s employee, must now face the decisions he’s made and the family he’s left behind – all while keeping the restaurant shiningly clean for Qadir Bhai, the proud restaurant owner.

Teesri deeply believe in the importance of this play and its comments on immigration in today’s climate. To make theatre open to everyone, Teesri has accessible ticket pricing starting at $15 for every show.

We would love to see students and faculty from Dawson join us during this show’s run. Please share widely within your circles!
