Reconstrucción Integral Sustentable y Amorosa (RISA) 2018

Planteles Educativos Sustentables (PES) es un proyecto de Investigación-Acción-Participativa binacional entre Dawson College (Canadá), la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional (Morelos), la Universidad Politécnica del Estado de Morelos y la Preparatoria Comunitaria de Tres Marías. Bajo una concepción integral de la sustentabilidad, fomenta que las instituciones de educación superior trabajen para la reconstrucción del tejido social y del ambiente.
El sismo de septiembre 2017 representó una oportunidad para trabajar desde el PES en la tarea de reconstrucción material y emocional de manera solidaria y colaborativa. Así, el PES representa una parte importante del proyecto RISA al participar en él a través de un RETO colectivo que emprendieron los planteles, sumando recursos económicos y humanos para lograr una verdadera Reconstrucción Integral Sustentable y Amorosa.
El PES arrancó el proyecto con la realización del Taller de bioconstrucción y de primeros auxilios emocionales en situaciones de desastres naturales (SustenTour) conducido por expertas en la materia, la arquitecta Ximena Bedregal y la psicóloga Emperatriz Delgado. Se abordaron principios arquitectónicos, ambientales y éticos de la bioconstrucción y estrategias para brindar atención psicológica en el momento de un desastre natural y después del evento, así como acciones preventivas.
Una segunda etapa del RETO llevó a integrantes del PES a poner manos a la obra, y no en sentido figurado sino real. Estudiantes y docentes de los planteles que forman parte del PES, hombro a hombro con hombres y mujeres, jóvenes, adultos y gente mayor de la comunidad indígena de Hueyapan, levantaron las paredes con pacas de trigo y barro, aplicando los conocimientos sobre bioconstrucción adquiridos en el taller. De esta manera, se apoyó a una familia damnificada integrada por una mujer indígena, educadora y jefe de familia y su hijo adolescente, quienes perdieron su vivienda a causa del sismo. L asociación civil, Ciudades Verdes estuvo a cargo de la coordinación general del reto RISA, en el cual también han participado personas y grupos de México, Estados Unidos y Canadá con contribuciones económicas y trabajo voluntario.
La participación entusiasta de la coordinadora y de estudiantes de la Licenciatura en Educación Preescolar y Primaria para el Medio Indígena de la Universidad Pedagógica, sede Cuernavaca; del director y docentes de la Preparatoria Comunitaria de Tres Marías de la Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos, mostró que las instituciones educativas pueden traspasar sus muros, ir más allá de lo estrictamente académico y convertirse en importantes actores social y ambientalmente responsables, jugando un papel activo y de vanguardia para transitar hacia la sustentabilidad, demostrando que se puede responder a situaciones críticas y vivir procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje verdaderamente significativos mientras se aligera el dolor humano, se fortalece el tejido social, se adquieren y ponen en práctica conocimientos técnicos y se recuperan saberes tradicionales para construir una vivienda en armonía con la naturaleza, viviendo así valores de solidaridad, compañerismo, cooperación, al calor de un buen atole y unos sabrosos tamales preparados y servidos amorosamente por mujeres de la comunidad.
Integral Sustainable and Loving Reconstruction (RISA) 2018

The Sustainable Campuses Initiative is a Research-Action-Participatory project between Dawson College (Canada), the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional (Morelos), the Universidad Politécnica del Estado de Morelos and the Community High School of Tres María. With an integral conception of sustainability, it encourages institutions of higher education to reconstruct the social and environmental fabric.
The earthquake of September of 2017 represented an opportunity for the SCI to work on the material and emotional reconstruction task with solidarity and in a collaborative way. In this way, the SCI is an important part of the RISA project. RISA is part of the collective projects that were taken on by the different campuses. The SCI project added economic and human resources to accomplish the Integral Sustainable and Loving reconstruction (RISA) project.
The SCI began this project with the realization of a Workshop on bio-construction and emotional first aid in situations of natural disasters (SustentTour). It was conducted by experts on the subject, architect Ximena Pedregal and psychologist Imperatriz Delgado. The topics that were explored included; Architectural, environmental and ethical principles of bio-construction and strategies to bring psychological aid in the moment of a natural disaster and the aftermath were taught to be used as preventative measures.
The second step of the challenge got the participants of the CSI to work and not in a figurative sense, but in a real one. Students, participants, of the CSI, shoulder to shoulder with women and men, young and elderly people of the indigenous community of Hueyapan lifted walls with bales of wheat and clay, applying the knowledge acquired in the workshop about Bio construction. In this way an affected family was supported. This family was constituted by an indigenous woman, who was an educator and family leader, and her teenage son who lost their home in the earthquake. The civil association Ciudades Verdes took charge of the coordination of the RISA challenge, in which other people and groups from Mexico, United States and Canada have participated with financial and volunteer work.
The enthusiastic participation by the coordinator and students from the Preschool and Elementary Education for the indigenous environment degree from the Universidad Pedagógica, Cuernavaca Campus; by the director and the staff showed that the educational institutions can go beyond their walls and beyond what is strictly academic and become important social actors as well as environmentally friendly. Thus, playing an active and a vanguard role in the transit towards sustainability, demonstrating that you can respond to critical situations and live truly meaningful teaching-learning processes while relieving human pain, strengthening the social fabric, acquiring and putting into practice technical knowledge and recovering traditional knowledge to build a home that is in harmony with nature, thus living values of solidarity, camaraderie, cooperation in the warmth of a good Atole and delicious tamales prepared and served lovingly by the women of the community.
