Careers

Students who continue their study of the discipline of Classics after Cegep and acquire an undergraduate degree in Classics have a wide range of career opportunities available to them. They can become Classics teachers, or teach Latin or Greek. They can also enter the growing field of archeology. Classics graduates are recognized as having excellent writing and research skills which makes them desirable employees in almost any field. A Classics university degree also provides excellent preparation for a degree in law. Since many universities have recently combined their Classics and History departments many of the possible careers listed under the History webpage are equally accessible to graduates in Classics.
