Contest Rules
1. Contest information
This giveaway is organized by Dawson’s Communications Office and Information Systems and Technology Office and offers the survey respondents the chance to win one of two $50 gift cards to Alexis Nihon Shopping Mall in Montreal and any other participating properties of Cominar. It will begin on Wednesday, March 01, 2023 and end on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. (hereafter the “Contest Period”).
2. Eligibility requirements
- Participants must respond to all the survey questions.
- Participants must use a valid email address. Only one (1) entry is accepted per individual.
By participating in this contest, participants consent to allow Dawson to use the personal information they provide for the purpose of the draw and to contact them as necessary in connection with the draw.
3. How to participate
The date and time limit to participate in the giveaway corresponds to the end date of the Contest Period, at 11:59 p.m. No purchase is required. Limit of one (1) entry per person per survey.
4. Prize
One of two (2) gift cards valued at $50 to the Alexis Nihon Shopping Mall in Montreal and any other participating properties of Cominar will be awarded to two (2) winners.
5. Winner identification and collection of prize
The draw date will be on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 10 a.m. The list of eligible participants will be exported into Microsoft Office Excel format. Using the software’s automated function, one (1) line (participant) will be randomly selected among the eligible participants.
The results will be confirmed by a member of the Dawson Communications Office.
The winners will receive an email asking them to acknowledge receipt and claim their prize. A member of the Dawson Communications Office will contact the winners by email to inform them how to collect their prizes. Winners will be asked to provide proof of their identity. In the event that a winner refuses or neglects to accept and claim their prize within five (5) business days of the draw, Dawson will make another draw at 10:00 a.m. on the following day, and every five (5) business days from that date, until the prize has been claimed.
The winners are required to, at Dawson’s request and prior to taking possession of the prize, sign a form acknowledging receipt of the prize.
6. Prize acceptance
The prize is not exchangeable, transferable or redeemable for cash. It must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred to a third party, substituted for another prize, or exchanged in whole or in part. Refusal or failure to accept or claim a prize absolves Dawson of any obligation related to the prize in question.
7. Changes
To the extent permitted by law, Dawson reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this contest, in whole or in part, in the event of any incident, error or human intervention that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or conduct of the contest as provided for in these rules, subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, as required. In all cases, Dawson and its employees and representatives may not be required to award more prizes than those set out in these rules or award prizes not in accordance with these rules.
8. Waiver of liability
Dawson, its employees and representatives may not be held liable for Internet or website malfunctions, problems or technical disturbances of any network or telephone line or of any online computer systems, servers, address suppliers, hardware or software, electronic message transmission or reception failures, any damage or loss caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by downloading any Internet page or any software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or any website or any combination thereof, including damage to a contest entrant’s computer or the computer of any other person used to enter the contest, to receive any materials about the contest or to accept any prize.
9. Disputes
For more details about prize allocation, please contact the Dawson Communication Office at commsoffice@dawsoncollege.qc.ca. Disputes regarding the organization or the conduct of a promotional contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec for a decision. Disputes regarding the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie for the sole purpose of action to resolve the dispute.
10. Varia
Participants will not be contacted individually, in any way, except to award a prize. For the purposes of these rules, the participant is the person whose name appears on the survey’s registration form. This is the person who will be awarded the prize if selected and declared a winner.
