All parents/guardians of first-year Dawson students should have received an invitation in the mail to the Online Parents' Night Information Evening on Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 7 PM.
This is the only time your parents will hear from the College and the intention is to give them information about this new chapter in your academic life.

Interested in the brain and behaviour? The Neuro-Club welcomes students from all programs to explore neuroscience through hands-on research and interdisciplinary learning. Meetings begin the week of Sept. 7 and take place weekly throughout the Fall and Winter semesters. One group will meet on Wednesdays from 1 PM to 2:15 PM and a second group will meet at a time selected by a survey of participants.
Students interested in next summer's Neuroscience Research Internship* are encouraged to participate.

All students are welcome to attend a talk with Montreal writers Yara El-Ghadban and Rodney Saint-Éloi this Thursday at 6 PM in 2C.17. The authors will discuss their recently published book, Les fascistes n'ont jamais compté les étoiles, a thought-provoking essay on fascism, racism, inequality and the search for solidarity, hope and human connection in challenging times.
The discussion will be held primarily in French, with some moderation and discussion in English. Join us on Thursday, Sept. 3, from 6 PM to 8 PM in 3C.1. Organized by Djemaa Maazouzi (Faculty, French) and Matthew de Vries (Faculty, Anthropology).
Attendance counts toward the Peace Studies Certificate.

The determination and creativity of Dawson College Product Design student Uyen Dao have earned her the Prix Excelle Science, presented by the Ministère de l'Économie, de l'Innovation et de l'Énergie as part of the Chapeau! Les filles 2026 contest. The annual awards recognize women who choose careers and fields of study traditionally dominated by men.

Dawson's newly renovated cafeteria in the Upper Atrium (de Maisonneuve street level, 2nd floor) has reopened with a new food service provider, Sodexo Canada. The refreshed space offers affordable meal options from four stations: The Grill, Table du Chef, Global, and Deli.
