Join us for Dawson’s Social Science Week Monday through Thursday, Feb. 9-12 in room 5B.16. This annual event is open to all students in any program and offers a space to explore key social issues. Choose from among 20 events and talks featuring subject matter experts from many disciplines. The program includes Jasmin de la Calzada on the realities of migrant women workers (Monday), Samuele Collu on the impact of Tik Tok scrolling on college students (Tuesday), and Sarah Moser on new city projects around the world (Thursday).

Course withdrawal deadline is Feb. 13
Courses withdrawn by the deadline of Friday, Feb. 13 will not appear on your transcript.
How to Withdraw or Drop a Course:
Returning students: Log in to Omnivox → Registration and Course Change → Course or College Withdrawal/Drop Form.
First-semester students: Contact an Academic Advisor to withdraw from a course. Log in to Omnivox and access Academic Advising Drop-In Chat through My College Services. Academic Advising will process the course withdrawal.

The Health & Dental Plan change of coverage/opt-out period for Winter 2026 runs from Jan. 23 to Feb. 23, 2026.
To change coverage or opt out, you must complete the process yourself on the Alumo website by the deadline.
If you already opted out in Fall 2025, no action is needed. Eligible students who opt out this term may receive up to $122.00 for Winter 2026 coverage (Fall 2025 fees are non-refundable). This applies only to new Winter 2026 students or returning students who did not opt out in Fall and have not used plan services.

What is art for? is the new exhibit on until March 14 at the Warren G. Flowers Art Gallery at Dawson. It showcases more than 80 artworks created in the pandemic summer of 2020 by artists worldwide who responded to this question, posed by Montreal artist and educator Kathleen Vaughan.
