From March 18–21, Dawson College will host the 2026 CCAA Women’s Basketball National Championship. For four exciting days during Spring Break, the Tony Proudfoot Gym will showcase the best women’s basketball in Canada.
We’re looking for student volunteers to help make this national event unforgettable! It’s a great way to support your college, meet athletes and visitors from across the country, and enjoy the games for free. All volunteers will receive a special commemorative shirt.
Volunteer shifts run from March 15–22, including setup, event days, and cleanup.

Course Withdrawal and Drop Deadlines
Course withdrawal deadline: Feb. 13, 2026 Withdrawn courses will not appear on the transcript.
Course drop deadline: April 7, 2026 (or 60% of course hours for intensive and AEC courses, as shown on the student schedule). An AE (abandon étude) notation will appear on the transcript. Attendance must be validated to drop a course.
Course withdrawal and drop deadlines vary for intensive courses. Check your course schedule or the Timetable for details. Deadlines are also posted in the Academic Calendar on the College website.

Session #1- Career 101
This workshop explores the career development process, covering both hard and soft skills, educational pathways, and other valuable career-related insights. At the end of this workshop, students will receive access to the AFC Holland Psychometric Assessment, which they will complete on their own time. The results of this assessment will be discussed and interpreted during the following workshop.
Session #2- Career Planning
This workshop will review students’ results from the AFC Holland Psychometric Assessment and explore a variety of career resources to help them better understand themselves, align with potential occupations, identify educational pathways, and more.

The Snack Centre is available to all students registered at Dawson College and is supported solely by the Generations Foundation.
The centre offers cookies, granola bars, fruit snacks, and more for students who may have forgotten their lunch or cannot afford a meal that day. Snacks are delivered monthly by the Generations Foundation. To ensure there is enough for everyone, students are asked to take no more than 2 items per day.

After nine months of work, DCMUN (Dawson College Model United Nations) welcomed over 200 attendees Jan. 16-18 to a bilingual conference, with a quarter of participating schools representing francophone delegations.

The Graduating students of the Professional Theatre Department open their new play this week: Revolt. She said. Revolt again. by Alice Birch. Through a series of arresting vignettes and a collection of contemporary characters, the play examines the language, behaviour and forces impacting women in the 21st century, and asks what's stopping us from doing something truly radical to affect change? Directed by Stefanie Buxton.
