  • Tu aimes chanter, déclamer des poèmes, faire du slam ou raconter des blagues en français ? Viens briller sur scène lors de la Soirée micro ouvert de la Francofête.   • Playtesting event! Play games created by Independent Video Game Design students and local game developers. FREE for all ages! Mar. 27 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM in 3C.1.
  • Thinking about dropping a course(s)? The deadline is Apr. 3!

Dawson's Team Excels at the 2025 Canadian Robotics Competition

Dawson Robotics Club members recently competed in the Canadian Robotics Competition (CRC), which took place from Feb. 19 to 21 at the St. Pius X Career Centre. CRC is a national event featuring teams from across Canada, competing in various categories such as robot battles, kiosk presentations, video production, and website development. Each team decides its own theme and Dawson's was Fallout.

Dawson's Club members put in countless hours of hard work, and reached the finals in the robot design, kiosk, video, and tutorial categories. Ultimately they took home the following prizes:

  • Winner of Best Shot (a one-minute creative video about the competition)
  • 2nd place for Best Video
  • 3rd place for Best Tutorial

Dawson's Robotics Club thanks SPACE and Dawson for their incredible support, our Mechanical Engineering Technology Program which accommodated their 3D printing needs, and to everyone who cheered them on or lent a helping hand.

The Robotics Club is already preparing for next year's competition and would love to welcome new members! They are sharing an open invite to their Discord server, where anyone—regardless of experience—can join, learn, and get involved.

Assistez à Mythomane, un spectacle unique alliant conte et mythologie grecque présenté par Thomas Hellman, laissez-vous emporter par la voix lumineuse de la soprano Aneska Diament lors du récital de mélodies françaises, dégustez de la tire d'érable au Oliver's et testez vos talents lors de la soirée micro-ouvert où vous pourrez livrer une performance de slam, de musique, de poésie ou d'humour.

Student Self-care Fair

Five-minute strategies for improving mental health

Mental Health Services and Campus Life are collaborating to hold the first Self-care Fair at Dawson!

Taking place in Conrods (2F.4) on Mar. 27 from 11:00 AM -2:00 PM, students will have the opportunity to “take five” and visit over 15 different self-care stations to learn simple five-minute strategies for improving mental health. Stations will include hands-on activities, a chill zone, and a movement zone with yoga and a walking track. You can create your own self-care kit by visiting each station and taking away valuable information, practice exercises, and freebies. The “Unplug Tea Bar” will provide free refreshments in a tranquil space, with meditation menus on each table. We look forward to seeing you there!
