Free meals for students continue at Dawson
Food Justice meals continue four days a week until the last day of classes on Dec. 9. The free meals are provided thanks to the Office of Sustainability, Student Services, the Dawson College Foundation, and amazing student volunteers.
The kitchen in 2F.4 (Conrod’s) used by Food Justice and Dawson Dinin’ passed Montreal food safety inspections on Oct. 1 and on Nov. 11, 2025. Our compliance status improved after the first visit. We are now working on addressing outstanding issues. Food prepared in this kitchen is safe and the health of our community is a priority.
- Mondays: Early Bird Breakfast 9:30 AM until food runs out in 2F.4 (Conrod’s)
- Tuesdays: Sustainable Lunches: drop off your reusable container before 11 AM at 2F.4 (Conrod’s) and return after 1 PM
- Wednesdays: Sustainable Soups at 2F.4 (Conrod’s), drop off your container before 11 AM and come pick up after 12 PM.
- Thursdays: Early Bird Breakfast 9:30 AM until food runs out in 2F.4 (Conrod’s).
- Fridays: Dawson Snackin’ provided by the Dawson Student Union. Free coffee and snacks every Friday DSU Main Office (2F.2) or at a table in the Upper Atrium. Bring your travel mug!

- Thrift Store on Tuesday: The Professional Photography graduating class of 2026 is holding a pop-up Thrift Store in the Lower Atrium (metro level) on Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 10 AM - 6 PM. Funds raised from the event will go toward their graduation Vernissage.
- Free Concert on Thursday: The QASAP Intercollegiate UNPLUGGED Singing Competition is happening on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 7 PM in Room 5B.16 at Dawson. Students from Champlain, Dawson, John Abbott, Marianopolis, and Vanier will be competing. First place will receive not only a trophy and $150, but also a spot at the 2026 Montreal Fringe Festival! Come to this free live show for an evening of spectacular music and singing talent!

Professional Theatre presents The Women
The Professional Theatre Department's play, The Women, is a satirical comedy set in the 1930s. Mary Haines is a wealthy, New-York-City socialite who discovers that her husband is cheating on her with a younger woman. Mary’s socialite, gossipy, so-called friends counsel her to get a divorce and take her husband for everything he’s got. Mary ends up in Reno with a handful of other divorcees and thinks she’s made a mistake. She sets out to reclaim her husband, but at what cost?

Silver for Dawson Women's Cross-Country Running Team
The Women's Cross-Country Running Team received a silver medal at the CCAA Nationals led by Mia Simpson and Amélie Bardon. Mia Simpson is the 2025 CCAA National Champion with a time of 22:52 (race of six kms). She won by eight seconds. Amélie Bardon ranked fourth with a time of 23:26, just shy of the podium in her first year of competition at the collegiate level. Bravo to our student athletes!

Team (Simpson, Bardon, Amelia Clerk 31st, Lieba Bacher-Spitzer 32nd, Ella O'Carroll 57th and Mila Degand 58th) is the first Dawson Cross-Country team to medal at Nationals.

Important: In order to have a paid note-taker in class, the student requiring notes must be registered with the Student AccessAbility Centre (SAAC) and have the approved accommodation. The note-taker is usually a fellow classmate who is willing to share their notes and receive a small stipend as a "thank you".

- Model Senate offers post-secondary students a unique opportunity to step into senators’ shoes for a weekend, gain valuable skills and network with like-minded young leaders. The next edition of the event will be hosted in-person at the Senate of Canada Building in Ottawa, from May 7-9, 2026, and will once again feature a range of exciting activities! Applications close Monday, December 8, 2025.
