It is a rare event for Dawson College to close since the school is directly connected to the metro system. If the college ever needed to close due to a snowstorm or ice or some other reason, students would be advised through an Omnivox mandatory document. The Dawson College website would also feature an alert at the top of the homepage.

Details about how to submit your preferred options will be sent to you via Documents & Messages in Omnivox.
The deadline for submitting your options is Jan. 5. It’s a first-come, first-served process so don’t delay!
Concerned about possible course failures?
At the end of every semester, rumours circulate about what will happen when students fail courses in their program. Each program sets its own policy regarding the number and type of courses students must pass each semester or academic year to not be expelled.
Do not assume that what is true for your friend in another program is true for you. Get the facts: Read the program standing & advancement policy included in your program manual in Omnivox. Go to Omnivox → My College Services → Program Manual.
