Have a fun and respectful Halloween!

Halloween is next Friday. In order to maintain respect for one another’s well-being, the College would like to remind students of the following guidelines for costumes:

  • Costumes that promote violence (including military uniforms), alcohol or drugs or are sexual in nature are not appropriate. Weapons or other props that might make students uncomfortable should not be brought to school.
  • Costumes that could perpetuate a negative stereotype of someone’s culture, gender, heritage, or religion should not be worn. Watch this short PBS video What is Cultural Appropriation? to learn more about these issues.

We believe you are up to the task of having fun while keeping our campus a safe space for everyone.
