Become certified in Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem, experiencing a mental health crisis, or a worsening of their own mental health. Just like physical first aid is provided until medical treatment can be obtained, MHFA is given until appropriate support is found or until the crisis is resolved.

If you’re part of the DSSU and you’d like to get trained in MHFA, let us know. We’d like to get an idea of how many individuals at the college would like to participate so that we can organize a Group Activity that could be eligible for Professional Development covered by the College.

A survey has been created for you to indicate your interest.

Please fill out the survey by Sunday, Jan. 26.
