Third-floor meeting room gets a fresh new look

The meeting room in 3H.4 has been renovated to better serve the Dawson community, offering an updated space for meetings, workshops and events.

“One of the main challenges with the room was the lack of windows and natural light,” said Elias Azar, Associate Director of Renovations and Infrastructure in Dawson’s Facilities Management department. “A key objective of the renovation was therefore to create a brighter and more inviting environment while making the space more flexible and functional.”

The renewed room features upgraded recessed lighting throughout, new flooring, a large central meeting table, modern seating and an integrated presentation screen. Decorative circular living moss panels bring warmth and colour to the room, while a dedicated lounge area provides a more informal setting for conversation and collaboration.

A kitchenette adds convenience for longer meetings, workshops and events. The combination of meeting, lounge and refreshment areas allows the room to support a variety of uses while maintaining a clean, modern design.

Faculty and staff can reserve the room through FAMA’s Campus Room Bookings system found in the Administrative Services menu on Omnivox.
