Volunteer for an hour or more and grow our Living Campus

With the holiday season upon us, Dawson has embarked on a new activity in partnership with Alexis-Nihon that requires volunteers for short shifts.

We’ve all seen the gift-wrapping service that pops up in the shopping centre during the month of December. This year, Alexis-Nihon offered the spot to Dawson as the sole beneficiary of all the proceeds collected from customers who want their packages wrapped.

Funds collected through this activity will be put to good use to support community-building projects through the Foundation’s Living Campus Fund, the umbrella under which Dawson has received local, national and international recognition, but whose initiatives are not funded by the Ministry of Education.

Where do you come in? We need wrappers, greeters, and payment takers. Everything is provided for you in this year’s location in a store next to the food court on the third floor.

Managers, who have also been asked to volunteer their time, including the Director General and Academic Dean, will allow employees an extra hour to fill in those slots. We understand that not all employees will have the flexibility to donate their time at the semester’s end, but every effort counts.

If you can volunteer, please fill in your preferred availability by filling in this doodle poll. Instructions are easy to follow on the Doodle Poll.

We thank you in advance for your time and dedication in sharing the spirit of the season and volunteering for a cause that can raise Dawson’s accomplishments for a healthier, sustainable planet.

You can also support the Foundation’s Living Campus Fund directly by contributing to specific unfunded projects here.
