At a special meeting of the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors on Monday, April 14, Carmela Gumelli was approved as the new Dean of Academic Systems upon unanimous recommendation of the Selection Committee. Carmela began at the College in July 2005 in a replacement position which she went on to fill permanently as Manager, Admissions and Scheduling. In Spring 2011, she was named Coordinator of Academic Systems.

We know the Community will support Carmela as she takes on her new duties.

We take this opportunity to thank outgoing Dean of Academic Systems, Paul Pemberton, for his many dedicated years of service to Dawson, 17 as Registrar, and for his valuable contributions to the Quebec CEGEP system. We wish him well in his well-deserved retirement after 38 years in the network.
