Students react to Dawson’s AASHE gold

In the lead up to Earth Day on April 22, Dawson students shared their thoughts about Dawson achieving the gold level for leadership in sustainability from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).

“Students have been involved in this initiative from the beginning,” said Chris Adam of Dawson’s Sustainability Office.

Student contributions include:

  • Working on hundreds of sustainability projects every semester
  • Caring for biodiversity zones and tending rooftop gardens
  • Mobilizing for climate justice

“Our students are leading the way in Dawson’s journey of hope, change and resilience,” Chris said.
