Description
A dark comedy and tense drama, the play touches upon the struggles of an individual to maintain his/her integrity and sense of identity despite a nightmarish intrusion upon his/her life. A family enters the apartment of a young man/woman and without invitation or introduction, they announce they have come to save him/her from their loneliness by living with him/her and being their friends. Shocked by this strange invasion, he/she tries to persuade them to leave, but reason proves useless against their cheerful madness. Under the relentless pressure of seemingly “neighbourly love”, the man/woman strives to escape this upsetting house arrest. Directed by Michael E. Hughes and performed by the second year students of the Professional Theatre Program at Dawson College.
