Thinking of changing a course?

You can change a course starting on Monday, Aug. 24 at 9:30 AM until Thursday, Aug. 27 at 1 PM using the Course Schedule Modification module in Omnivox. There is a $20 fee for each transaction but there is no cost to log in to see what is available to you.

The Registrar’s Office will also offer a service on Wednesday, Aug. 26 and Thursday, Aug. 27 for students wishing to add a course.

Details have been sent to you within your Omnivox Documents and Messages.

Get your Dawson ID card

You need a Dawson ID card for many things including:

  • Getting an Opus card
  • Borrowing books and using Library services
  • Using photocopiers and printers
  • Writing final exams

Please read this how-to page. 

Please note that you can get your physical Dawson ID card as of Tuesday, Sept. 1 at the Print Shop in room 2E.01. All you have to do is provide your Dawson student ID number.

Health-related absences

Medical notes are not required for health-related absences of fewer than five consecutive days.

Report each day of absence through the Absence Declaration Form in Omnivox:

  • Mobile app: Services → Omnivox WEB Services → Omnivox web version → Absence Declaration Form
  • Desktop/laptop: My College Services → Absence Declaration Form

A medical note is required for absences of five consecutive days or more.

Teachers are notified automatically, but you must contact them to arrange any accommodations.

Get your Opus card

To get your student Opus card, log into Omnivox and look for Reduced Fare Opus Card under the My Omnivox Services menu.

Need clothes or shoes for your Phys. Ed. class or sports?

Looking for sportswear? Come by and choose from a selection of clean, gently used sportswear and athletic shoes available for Dawson students.

Theatre grad in 51-run show of Les Mis wrapping up this weekend

Nathan Bois-McDonald, a 2023 graduate of Dawson College’s Professional Theatre program, has spent the summer playing Marius Pontmercy in a 51-show run of Les Misérables in Montreal and Quebec City. The production’s popularity in Montreal led organizers to add 18 extra performances.
