DC Model United Nations brought home a record 13 awards in November

Dawson College Model United Nations (DCMUN) thrived at this year’s SSUNS Model United Nations simulation, hosted by McGill University in mid-November. At SSUNS, one of the largest Model UN conferences in North America, our delegates tackled topics ranging from Human Rights to Cyber Security to Quebec’s Maple Syrup Cartel.

With a delegation of 85 students, DCMUN used the research, writing, and public speaking skills honed over eight weeks of training to come home with 13 awards, the highest in our club's history and the most among all participating CEGEPs!

DCMUN will be hosting our own conference from Jan. 16-18, 2026. Delegates will explore issues such as the gender health gap, the historic Sir George Williams Riot, and even navigating an international Squid Game crisis. https://www.dawsoncollegemun.ca/
