Free food for students starts Monday!
Funded by the Dawson College Foundation and managed by the Office of Sustainability, the College is pleased to offer food most of the week.
Mondays & Thursdays: Early Bird Breakfast
- Starts Jan. 26 and ends the week of May 11
- Vegetarian breakfast at 2F.4 (Conrod’s), 9:30 AM until supplies last
- Bring your reusable container or travel mug. First come, first served!
Tuesdays: Sustainable Lunches
- Starts Jan. 27 and ends the week of May 11
- Bring a clean reusable container labelled with your name to 2F.4 (Conrod’s) before 11 AM, pick up at 1 PM
Wednesdays: Open Harvest Market
- Lower Atrium (metro level): 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Throughout the week: Free Snacks & Lunches
- Available throughout the week until supplies last

Enter the “Dawson Through Your Lens” Photo Contest!
Show us what life at Dawson looks like starting this week with your return to class — from lively student spaces to quiet study spots, campus life, and moments with friends.
Every week, we’ll select one standout photo to feature in the Dawson Insider and on social media. The winner will receive a $20 gift card as well as a photo credit and Instagram tag. Honourable mentions may also be featured!
How to participate:
- Take photos on campus – get consent from anyone identifiable.
- Weekly winners will be chosen by the Communications Office each Thursday, starting Jan. 29.
The contest runs Jan. 23 - May 6. We can’t wait to see Dawson from your perspective!

Dawson Theatre play "Revolt. She said. Revolt again." opens this week!
The Graduating students of the Professional Theatre Department open their new play this week: Revolt. She said. Revolt again. by Alice Birch. Through a series of arresting vignettes and a collection of contemporary characters, the play examines the language, behaviour and forces impacting women in the 21st century, and asks what's stopping us from doing something truly radical to affect change? Directed by Stefanie Buxton.

How to report absences <5 days
Medical notes are not required for health-related absences of fewer than five consecutive days. Students must declare absences through Omnivox.

Indigenous Perspectives series continues on Tuesday, Jan. 27
Indigenous Perspectives: Basic Call to Consciousness. Part 1: The Haudenosaunee message to the Western World at Geneva Switzerland, Autumn 1977
This presentation will consist of the reading and discussion of two chapters: Spiritualism, the highest form of political consciousness and The obvious fact of our continuing existence; legal history of the Haudenosaune.

Hours are Mondays 1 PM-2 PM , Wednesdays 11 AM-12 PM and Fridays 10 AM-11 AM.

Try Rock Climbing at Dawson for just $8 on Monday nights, 6 PM to 9 PM. All equipment supplied and instructors to teach you. You can even borrow shoes with your photo ID. Just come to the PARC desk (1H.04) to pay and participate.

- Pass it forward helps Dawson students gear up for Phys. Ed. classes and active living with free clean, gently used sportswear (including shoes) and some winter wear. Join us at P.A.R.C. (1H.4) from Jan. 20–Feb. 3.
- Clean out your junk drawer and drop off your used batteries at Dawson! If we collect the most batteries in the CEGEP network by March 15, Dawson wins $1,000 — and you’ll help keep toxic waste out of the environment. Drop-off bin: Next to the escalators on the 2nd floor (near the DSU Office and Info Desk).
