Dawson’s Mental Health Fair is back!
Don’t miss your chance to grab some snacks, visit the booths, and learn about the amazing organizations in your community that support student well-being and mental health. Happening on Wednesday, November 12, from 11 AM to 2 PM in Conrod’s (2F.4).
Come hang out, collect a few stamps to get free fries, bubble tea, and popcorn, and explore booths from 19 community organizations offering information, resources, and support on topics like disordered eating, addiction, sexual and gender identity, sexual violence, life skills, physical and psychological disorders, suicide prevention, and caregiving.

- Nov. 1: Last day to apply for program transfer for the Winter 2026 semester
- Nov. 3: Winter 2026 fee payment opens for returning students
- Nov. 4: Career Showcase Day, 11 AM - 2 PM, Lower Atrium (metro level)
- Nov. 7: Ped Day (no classes)

STM Strike
The STM has announced a strike from November 1 to 28, which will affect bus and metro service across Montreal.

All classes, services, and activities at Dawson will continue as scheduled.
Accommodations - SAAC deadline of Nov. 14 approaching
Before Friday, Nov. 14 at 5 PM: students who wish to Review their Eligibility for Accommodations must complete the Online Pre-Intake form on that webpage . Also, students who wish to renew their accommodations at Dawson should contact their counselor or visit room 2E.6. Requests received after this date will NOT be reviewed for Winter 2026 (with limited exceptions).
The Student AccessAbility Centre (SAAC) offers a variety of services to support students with disabilities, including academic accommodations and strategies designed to address the significant and persistent impact of a disability on learning.
Explore Dawson’s Certificate Options
Certificates offer students from all programs the opportunity to interact in a learning community of fellow students and teachers who share a passion for thinking about and finding solutions for specific historical and contemporary issues. Students currently can take along with their DEC a certificate in Women’s/Gender Studies, Hellenic Studies, Peace Studies, Decolonization and Indigenization Studies, SPACE: Arts and Sciences, and Environment and Sustainability.

Get published in the Dawson English Journal
Each year The Dawson English Journal publishes student academic work in our online journal and in a beautiful, illustrated volume.
To submit eligible work for consideration by our editorial committee, go to the journal at: www.dawsonenglishjournal.ca and follow the instructions on the How to Submit Your Writing page. (All names and identifying information will be removed before the editors see the work.)

This program pairs you with experienced McGill University mentors who will guide you in preparing for university admissions, exploring STEM and engineering pathways, and achieving your academic goals. - You need a Digital Student ID Card to use the Library: All Dawson students must submit a personal photo using the MyDawson Portal or Omnivox Mobile application on their smartphone. The Library requires the Dawson ID card , digital or physical copy in order to borrow material.
- Celebrate Radiology week: Diagnostic Imaging students will be promoting their profession on Thursday, Nov. 6 from 9 AM -12 PM in the Lower Atrium (metro level).
- Beaux-Arts Magazine is now available. Beaux-Arts Magazine is a French art magazine with articles on cinema, painting, photography, architecture, fashion, literature, and more. The Dawson community can now access issues from 2023 – present day through the library’s CAIRN subscription.
