Dawson students start babysitting service for those in need

Dawson College student Tristan Hamer has created a volunteer movement of young people in high school and CEGEP to provide free or pay what you can babysitting services for people in need of childcare during the school shutdown. Social distancing is the way we can "flatten the curve" of the COVID-19 pandemic. To protect the most vulnerable and our healthcare system:
- Stay home and avoid unnecessary outings
- Avoid all close contact with people unless necessary
- Never shake hands
- Cancel/avoid all travel
- No parties, no play dates and no playgrounds
- Read a good book or watch a movie
- Listen to music
- Learn something
- Catch up with friends and family online or write a letter
- Create, dream, meditate, pray
- Clean up, organize, repair and renovate
- Walk, run, bike
Help break the isolation of Dawson seniors and retirees

Help us help the older members of our community. People over 70 are supposed to be staying inside at home.
If you are a staff member or a retiree over 70, let us know if you need a friendly telephone visit or if you could use a grocery or pharmacy drop off.
Younger staff, let us know if you are available to help out. We will match you up!
