Contribute to unique All-Dawson book project RUN
RUN: The Making of a Graphic Novel is a collaboration of an all-Dawson creative team: celebrated Dawson graduate Bradley Heaven, who was born with Dyskinetic Cerebral Palsy; his long-time aide Dan O’Connor; Illustration graduate Antonio Luzano; and English teacher and author Andrew Katz. Together, they are making a graphic novel about Brad and Dan’s first marathon run. And to help raise funds for this project, they have created this limited edition book that takes you behind the scenes of how their graphic novel is being made.
The book is being sold through their crowdfunding page—but only until June 5. Here is the link:
Their campaign also includes other exclusive rewards, including the rare chance to get drawn IN their final graphic novel!
Proceeds from the book will go towards illustrating the complete graphic novel. 1$ from every book will also go to support March of Dimes Canada, a charity which provides a wide range of services to people with disabilities throughout the country.
Get inspired, learn more about the realities of living with a disability, and directly help increase the representation of people with disabilities in books.
Thanks in advance for any support of this exciting Dawson project. Or as Brad and Dan say, “Thanks for running with us!”
