Dawson harvest markets
June 16th, 2020
The Sustainabili-team volunteers have been coming in regularly to help care for all the gardens at Dawson College.
The first harvest was June 10. Usually, the harvest is sold at a community market at Dawson.
This year, the Sustainability Office will be alternating with one week of harvests to be donated to food banks and one week to be given to the members of the Dawson community.

New Dawson Blues Band video release today!
June 16th, 2020
The Dawson Blues Band (the DBB) has grown to 18 members now! They have put together a new video to cheer us and raise support for the students of Dawson College who could use some help.
The name of the DBB song is: “With a lot of help from our friends” inspired by “With a Little Help From My Friends” by the Beatles (released in 1967) and by Joe Cocker (released in 1969) and “You've Got a Friend" by Carole King (released in 1971).
"I want to congratulate all the participants for the great work you accomplished for this project," said organizer and musician Vincent Maggiore (Business Administration).
Enjoy the DBB video, released today for you in the Read More link.
If you enjoy it and can help out, consider a donation to the Dawson College Foundation for the Dawson Financial Aid Program. The community and our friends have now donated more than $5,000. More news to come in August.
The DBB plans to be back in the Fall with more great music for us!
Julie and Julie advise to keep up the health protocols
June 9th, 2020
Even though the Quebec Government continues to open up the province, we all have to keep vigilant to protect the most vulnerable and to prevent a second wave of COVID-19 infections. College Nurses Julie Drolet and Julie Gosselin advise us to:
- keep washing our hands properly and effectively
- continue maintaining a two-metre distance from people outside our household
- wear masks when we cannot maintain the two-metre distance and when entering closed public environments (e.g. grocery stores)
- visit our friends and families outside and from a distance
The most recent and updated version of the COVID-19 Self-care guide from the Government of Quebec is in the Read More link.
