Onkwaká:rá : Cultural Appropriation with Stephen Puskas

Join us on October 25th during Multicultural Awareness Days for a discussion with Inuit Filmmaker Stephen Puskas concerning cultural appropriation within the context of storytelling and in light of the controversies that followed Robert Lepage and his pieces SLAV and KANATA.

Onkwaká:rá is a yearlong collaborative storytelling series organized by the Dawson College First Peoples’ Centre and the Peace Centre. Each installment will feature a First Nations, Inuit or Metis individual who will explore a story, or a particular aspect about storytelling.

If you would like to book a class for this event, or any of the others please contact Diana Rice or Tiawenti:non Canadian.
