Registering for SAAC services

Students who have never registered with our service and wish to review their eligibility with the Student AccessAbility Centre (SAAC) are asked to complete the Online Pre-Intake form as soon as possible.  Once we receive the completed form, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment with an Adapted Services counsellor.

ImportantGiven the very high demand, there is currently a 3 week delay before obtaining an appointment with an Adapted Services Counsellor.

How to register

Students not registered with the Student AccessAbility Centre (SAAC) are required to complete an Online Pre-Intake form.

Any medical documentation or psycho-educational assessment (see document requirements) should be uploaded when completing the Online Pre-Intake form.  If you cannot upload the documents, please send them to aasecretary@dawsoncollege.qc.ca

You will receive a confirmation email shortly after submitting the form and documents and you will be contacted to schedule an appointment with a SAAC Counsellor.

The duration of the appointment will vary according to a student’s particular circumstances, ranging from 30 minutes to 1h30 minutes.  We will advise you when scheduling the appointment.

Students are encouraged to attend the meeting on their own; however, should it be necessary for a parent or guardian to be present they will be invited only at the end. We feel strongly about this being students’ first step towards self-advocacy in College.
