Annual Pedagogical Day

Ped Day Fall 2018: October 12

Dawson College hosts an annual Ped Day for Faculty and Staff, providing our teachers with the opportunity to share their teaching expertise, as well as learn from external workshop facilitators. The day features a keynote address, as well as a rich variety of workshops, presentations and panel discussions built around teachers’ interests and suggestions.

Funding for Faculty

Dawson Faculty may apply for funds in order to defray the cost of the professional development and training needs. Depending on the nature of the training initiative, there are different funding sources for Faculty Professional Development.

Faculty Group Training

This funding initiative is designed to cover or defray the cost of group professional development activities. Expenses that are eligible for this fund include internal or external speaker honoraria, and travel expenses. Applications are reviewed twice a year by a committee that includes the appropriate sector dean. Interested faculty should complete and submit an application on or before the deadlines.
