University Pathways

An articulation agreement is a formal, signed, written agreement between two educational institutions. It outlines the kind of transfer credit or advanced standing that a student might be granted, based on studies at one school, upon entering a specific and related academic program at the other school.

Articulation agreements are sometimes referred to as transfer agreements, transfer pathways or diploma to degree pathways.

University Course Exemptions, Equivalences, and Advanced Credits

The following information aims to highlight possible equivalencies and exemptions at Montreal area universities. Please note that universities are responsible for granting these and should be contacted for the most up to date information.

Equivalence: Student receives full credit for that course

Exemption: Student is exempt from the course for the purposes of prerequisite or graduation requirements, but must still earn the equivalent number of credits with another course
