DAC stands for the Dawson Activity Club and it is a great way to meet people at Dawson College and enjoy lunches and activities once a month. The next DAC event will be in March and will likely be related to St. Patrick's Day.

Information Evening is Feb. 5

Dawson's annual Information Evening is this Wednesday, Feb. 5 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Venues are the Upper Atrium, Conrod's and 3C.1. This is a chance for prospective students to get more information about programs before the March 1 application deadline.

The risk of Canadians contracting the Novel Coronavirus is low, according to Health Canada. Most people with common coronavirus illness will recover on their own.

You can protect yourself by washing your hands and avoiding touching your face.

The 4001 de Maisonneuve entrance is closed Tuesday, Feb. 4 until 4 p.m. and Wednesday, Feb. 5 until 3 pm.

The parking entrance will not be affected.

Postcard from Mexico

Jean Nagy enjoyed a Mexican holiday with her daughter Jan. 18-25 after winning the Club Med trip at the 50th anniversary Party for Dawson Employees in September. She wanted to share her appreciation with our community:

"I was given a choice of four resorts and I decided to go to Ixtapa in Mexico. My daughter and I enjoyed the warm waters of the Pacific and the hot temperatures. For all of you who 'volunteered' to go with me, we had a toast to your health."
