Through the Resist Violence project, Pat Romano (Humanities) and Kim Simard (Cinema-Communications) have developed a pedagogical approach that integrates critical thinking, media literacy and artistic expression.
This pedagogy allows students to deepen their insights into the problem of violence, including how it affects their own lives, while also gaining a profound understanding of why their own behaviour matters. They also lead a Resist Violence Community of Practice.
