Dawson ScienceFest Fall 2016

December 5th - 9th, 2016

ScienceFest is a dynamic student-centered conference at Dawson College that shares students’ knowledge, creativity and passion for learning science in a public forum and recognizes them for their efforts and achievements in 2015-2016.. It foresees involvement from all disciplines in the program (as well as technical programs) and invites participation from the entire Dawson community.

Project Update

This December we were able to print a copy of the official booklet for everyone. This not only makes the students classwork more “official” but also gives them pride to see their name in print. They also get a souvenir to keep for their future academic career. The students that participated in this event were mainly the second year pure science students as well as the first year environmental science students as part of their General Biology I Biology CE project. All teachers participated and incorporated both the poster as well as a presentation of the poster into their course curriculum. All students had to make a poster and present it for 4-6% of their final grade. We also had second year science students present posters form their French course.
