Trip to watch L’Homme Invisible

October 23rd, 2014

Professional Theatre students attended a production of L’Homme Invisible at the Theatre La Licorne. This performance was a dramatic setting of Franco-Ontarian poet Patrice Desbiens’ bilingual prose poem of 1981, which dealt with the ambiguous heritage and identity of a man “whose mother tongue was bilingualism”. The role of the eponymous “Invisible Man” (Desbiens’ nod to, both, H.G. Wells and Ralph Ellison) was performed by two actors, the Anglophone Jimmy Blais and the Francophone Guillaume Tremblay.
