I have spent the entirety of my Cégep academic career striving for excellence in all aspects of my studies, most of all in my science classes. In my first year, I worried that I would not be able to keep up with the workload, and at times my classes were a source of great stress. Looking back, I can now say that the reception of this award and the sense of accomplishment that it has brought me makes all of that stress and hard work worthwhile.

Presented to a student who, during their first year of studies, has excelled in Chemistry and Science. This award was established by the late Mirjehan Janmohamed, a beloved Chemistry teacher at Dawson.
