In many ways, this award feels like vindication, for I have never been a natural A+ student. This award will finally give me the confidence to follow my dreams, to pursue that career in the sciences for which I always yearned but never felt I was good enough. I am extremely grateful for this recognition of my hard work, dedication, and passion for the sciences.
Berlow Science Prize

Presented to the student who, during their first year of studies, has achieved the highest average in a minimum of six Science courses. This award is given in memory of Peter Berlow, who taught chemistry at Dawson College for many years.
